What To Put On Your Wedding Cake

Have you ever wondered what to do with your wedding cake or how to display it at your wedding? Look no further! We have compiled a list below of the 5 most popular items to put on your wedding cake to help create a cohesive look for your wedding. 


1. Toppers

Toppers for your wedding cake can either be the traditional figurines on top of the cake or could be something more modern with a sign that reads “Mr and Mrs” or your new last names.

2. Florals

Florals are the most common wedding cake decor as it compliments any table centerpieces throughout your wedding. Adding a few florals to the top and/or sides can help to enhance your wedding cake as well as bring an additional element together in the overall look.

3. Stencil/Design

Some couples opt for a more lavish look with their wedding cake. This can be from the use of color or elaborate designs. Incorporating this element onto your cake can help to elevate the look of the traditional cake as well as draw your guests’ eye to a creative or unique aspect of your wedding.

4. Monogram

Monograms have become a more recent trend as couples are creating their own crest for their wedding day. This monogram is usually incorporated into all aspects of the wedding such as invitations, signage, etc. Adding a monogram to your wedding cake can be an additional touch of keeping everything cohesive as well as give you another usage of your personal monogram.

5. Plain and Simple

You can also opt for just the traditional/simple look of a fresh white wedding cake. You can’t go wrong with this option as the simplistic look can bring an element of elegance to your wedding. Sometimes the best thing to do is stick to what works.
